Disclaimer
Effective date: August 4, 2026 · Beta release
Always Ready Survival is an educational resource. Read this before acting on anything you find here — especially in an emergency.
A note on these documents. Always Ready Survival is in public beta. This disclaimer applies now and is written in plain language; it will be reviewed and finalized before full launch. Nothing here is legal advice.
Educational purpose only
Always Ready Survival provides general educational information about emergency preparedness, survival skills, and household readiness. Everything on this site — including the ARES assessment, checklists, supply targets, threat scenarios, and training material — is for general information only.
It is not professional advice. It is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified physician, attorney, financial advisor, structural engineer, or emergency-management professional, and it is not a substitute for formal, hands-on training.
No guarantee of outcomes
Preparedness reduces risk; it does not remove it. We make no promise that following any information on this site will keep you or your household safe, prevent injury or loss, or produce any particular result. Every emergency is different, and outcomes depend on factors outside anyone's control.
Your ARES score is a self-assessment based on your own answers. It is an educational estimate of relative readiness, not a certification, a guarantee, or a professional evaluation.
In a real emergency
If you are facing an immediate threat to life or safety, contact your local emergency services (911 in the United States) first. Follow the instructions of local authorities, fire, law enforcement, and emergency management. Their direction always overrides anything on this site.
Do not delay calling for help in order to consult this website.
Medical and health information
Content touching on first aid, injury care, medications, water treatment, sanitation, nutrition, and physical fitness is general information, not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before acting on it, before starting any fitness or dietary plan, and before storing or using any medication or medical supply.
Techniques such as bleeding control or improvised sanitation carry real risk and are best learned through certified, hands-on instruction.
Assumption of risk
Survival and preparedness activities — including fire, tools, firearms where lawful, water treatment, food storage, physical exertion, and travel — carry inherent danger. You are solely responsible for evaluating the safety and legality of anything you choose to do.
By using this site you accept that you do so at your own risk, and that you assume full responsibility for your own actions and their consequences.
Laws vary by location
Laws governing water storage, firearms, self-defense, radio transmission, generators, controlled substances, and other topics differ by country, state, and locality, and change over time. Information here may not reflect the law where you live. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Always Ready Survival and its owners, officers, and contributors are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content.
This is the broadest limitation permitted by law; where a jurisdiction does not allow certain limitations, they apply only to the extent permitted there.
Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites and resources for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
